Lauren A. Tetenbaum is a psychotherapist and advocate who specializes in supporting women through life transitions. Through her counseling practice, Lauren provides therapy to women and couples in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Florida. Lauren also facilitates groups and workshops that empower women in corporate settings and trains mental health professionals on issues affecting women’s wellness, including perimenopause and menopause.
A former lawyer, Lauren regularly contributes thought leadership on women’s rights through speaking engagements, writing, and digital media. Lauren’s areas of expertise include perinatal mental health, gender equity, working parenthood, and reproductive healthcare.
Lauren is the author of “Millennial Menopause: Preparing for Perimenopause, Menopause, and Life’s Next Period.” The book has been recognized by menopause healthcare professionals, women’s rights advocates, and bestselling authors as a practical, research-informed guide for women balancing careers, relationships, caregiving, and hormonal changes during midlife.
Lauren earned a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania before returning to her hometown of New York City to earn a Master of Social Work from New York University and a Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University. She currently lives in Westchester, New York with her husband, two children, and Cavapoo, where she is active in the local community.
