Ellen Byars, MSN, WHNP, MSCP

Ellen Byars is a board-certified women’s health nurse practitioner with a clinical focus on menopause and sexual health. She earned a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in nursing from Duke University. Ellen is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner and an AASECT-certified sexual health counselor. 

Earlier in her career, Ellen worked in gynecologic oncology and urogynecology. In those roles, she cared for people with gynecologic cancers, pelvic health conditions, and the long-term effects of cancer treatment. This work led Ellen to pursue advanced certification and to focus her practice on patient education, evidence-based care, and clear information about menopause and sexual health.
