Getting Started on ThisIsMenopause

You found us. And honestly? That’s a big deal. 🙌

Whether you stumbled here mid-Google spiral at 2 a.m. or a friend finally said, “You need to talk to these women,” we’re really glad you’re here. ThisIsMenopause is a free community built for every stage of the perimenopause journey: the confusing early days, the “Is this even normal?” moments, and everything in between.

Here’s how to get settled in.

Make It Yours: Add a Profile Photo 📷

Putting a face to a name goes a long way in a community built on real talk and real connection.

Step 1 — Tap the 3 lines in the upper-left corner.
Step 2 — Select “View Profile” and tap “Update photo.”
Step 3 — “Choose File” or “Choose from Photos” and pick your favorite picture.

No pressure to show your face – a pet, a flower, your go-to mug works too.

Share Your Story (As Much or as Little as You’d Like)💬

One of the things women in this community say most often is “I had no idea what was happening to me, and I wish I’d found people who got it sooner.”

Whatever you’re navigating, someone else out there is navigating it too. Tell your story, and your words might be the ones that help another woman feel a little less alone.

Step 1 — Tap the 3 lines in the upper-left corner.
Step 2 — Select “View Profile.”
Step 3 — Scroll down and tap “Share Your Story.”
Step 4 — Fill in the prompts at your own pace – share as much or as little as feels right.

There’s no wrong way to tell your story here.

Start Exploring 🔎

The best part of this community is the women in it. Jump in whenever you’re ready:

  • Browse posts in the Connect > Activities section to see what others are experiencing and talking about.
  • Comment or react when something resonates. (Even a thumbs up or a like lets someone know they’re not alone.)
  • Ask or answer a question in Connect > Q&A – no question is too small or too embarassing.

Not sure where to start? Try searching for something you’ve been wondering about (hot flashes, brain fog, sleep, mood changes) and see what comes up. You might be surprised how many women are asking the same thing.
